House of Dreams cat shelter and the Volunteers of America Oregon are proud to offer a unique way to help support House of Dreams care for our cats!  We are working with Charity Connections and Volunteers of America Oregon's  vehicle donation program to allow you to specify House of Dreams as the beneficiary of the sale of your car.


Getting started is easy!  All you have to do is go to click on this link from Charity-connections.org.   Once you do that, someone from there will contact you.


Here are some frequently asked questions about using the vehicle donation program:


    Q:  Why should I use the vehicle donation program?
    A:  There are several:

            You may receive greater value for your vehicle as a charitable contribution on your itemized tax return.
            You won't have to try and sell the vehicle yourself.
            House of Dreams is part of the Volunteers of America Oregon Vehicle Donation Program.

    Q:  What percent of the proceeds go to House of Dreams?
    A:  60% of the vehicle sale proceeds goes to House of Dreams, and 40% goes to VOA Oregon for     administrative expenses.

    Q:  How will my car be used?
    A:  If VOA Oregon can sell your vehicle, they will perform minor repairs to maximize the sale price of the vehicle.

    Q:  Does my vehicle have to be running?
    A:  No. VOA Oregon accepts running and non-running vehicles. (Some restrictions may apply to oversized vehicles and tow range.

    Q:  What types of vehicles can be donated?
    A:  Cars, trucks, boats, motor homes, travel trailers, utility trailers, and aircraft, to name a few.  They have even received and sold a fire engine!

    Q:  Will they pick up my vehicle, and what is their towing charge?
    A:   Yes, they will pick up your vehicle at no charge to you.

    Q:  What if I have an out of state title?
    A:  No problem – VOA Oregon can process a donation with an out-of-state title, and they can accept vehicles in any state
